My name is Yongcong Zhang, and I am currently working as an R&D Engineer – PhD student at SurgAR. At the same time, I am pursuing my PhD degree at the Université Clermont Auvergne under the supervision of Professor Adrien Bartoli, starting from 2025.

My previous research focuses on computer vision and multi-view geometry, with particular experience in rolling shutter cameras and 3D reconstruction. Currently, my work centers on camera self-calibration, especially for endoscopic cameras used in surgical applications.

Before joining SurgAR, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Hunan University in Changsha, China, and my Master’s degree in Information Science and Engineering from the same university, where I was supervised by Prof.Yizhen Lao.
